Una celebraci\u00f3n que, si bien pretende recordarnos la importancia de evitar el uso del autom\u00f3vil para reducir las emisiones de CO2 en las ciudades, nos trae a la mente el <strong>cambio de tendencia<\/strong> que ha provocado la pandemia de COVID-19 en este sentido: mientras que durante la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada se estaba perdiendo el inter\u00e9s por el veh\u00edculo privado \u2013 reduci\u00e9ndose hasta la mitad la cifra de quienes quer\u00edan obtener el carn\u00e9 de conducir-, durante la crisis sanitaria han crecido exponencialmente los<strong> nuevos permisos de conducir<\/strong> (en 2019 se expidieron un 25% m\u00e1s de carn\u00e9s que el a\u00f1o anterior), superando incluso las cifras registradas diez a\u00f1os antes.<\/p>\n<p>Un cambio de tendencia hacia el veh\u00edculo privado, sin duda relacionado con la desconfianza en la seguridad del <strong>transporte p\u00fablico colectivo<\/strong> y la protecci\u00f3n de la salud. Un problema al que tienen que hacer frente las ciudades de todo el mundo y de forma urgente. Y en ello estamos. El lema de este a\u00f1o de la <a href=\"https:\/\/mobilityweek.eu\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK<\/strong><\/a><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>es \u201cPor tu salud, mu\u00e9vete de forma sostenible\u201d. Con \u00e9l, la <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/index_es\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Comisi\u00f3n Europea<\/a> busca promover la movilidad urbana sostenible, recordando las dificultades que hemos experimentado en Europa, y en el mundo, durante los dos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, animando a un cambio de modelo en el que primen los desplazamientos en <strong>bicicleta<\/strong> y <strong>a pie<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Un objetivo compartido por administraciones y gobiernos locales que, en su intento de conseguir ciudades m\u00e1s limpias y habitables, buscan promover iniciativas en pro del medio ambiente y del ciudadano. Muchas de ellas recogidas en sus <strong>Planes de Movilidad Urbana Sostenible<\/strong>, pero en la mayor\u00eda de los casos insuficientes. Entre las m\u00e1s populares: la promoci\u00f3n del transporte p\u00fablico colectivo, la implementaci\u00f3n de nuevos servicios de movilidad compartida (coches, patinetes el\u00e9ctricos, bicicletas\u2026), la aprobaci\u00f3n de Zonas de Bajas Emisiones, la reducci\u00f3n de los l\u00edmites de velocidad, la adaptaci\u00f3n de infraestructuras y peatonalizaci\u00f3n de calles, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Y es que no es una cuesti\u00f3n balad\u00ed. Adem\u00e1s del grav\u00edsimo perjuicio para el <strong>medio ambiente<\/strong>, la <strong>OMS<\/strong> estima que cerca de siete millones de personas <strong>mueren cada a\u00f1o<\/strong> por la exposici\u00f3n a las part\u00edculas finas contenidas en el aire contaminado, <strong>m\u00e1s de 10.000 en Espa\u00f1a<\/strong>. No hay tiempo ni alternativa.
