Seg\u00fan la asociaci\u00f3n Exceltur, el sector supuso el 12,8% del PIB en 2023, sentando un nuevo r\u00e9cord a batir. Tal y como aseguraban expertos y autoridades durante la apertura de Fitur 2024, no ser\u00e1 dif\u00edcil. De hecho la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial del Turismo (OMT) prev\u00e9 que para finales de 2024 el turismo internacional alcance los niveles registrados antes de la pandemia.<\/p><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><p>No deja de ser parad\u00f3jico que al tiempo que el turismo se recupera, crece y proporciona empleo y desarrollo econ\u00f3mico, resulte imperante atender desaf\u00edos como el de los destinos al borde del l\u00edmite de su capacidad. Una situaci\u00f3n que pone en peligro el entorno natural, la biodiversidad, recursos como el agua o la energ\u00eda e incluso, la amable convivencia entre turistas y lugare\u00f1os. Y de los precios ni hablemos.<\/p><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><p>El turismo sostenible, respetuoso con el medio ambiente y la cultura local, ha dejado de ser una tendencia, ahora es una prioridad. Por ello merece la pena destacar la presencia en FITUR de iniciativas que podr\u00edan parecer imposibles, o por lo menos curiosas, pero que sin embargo nos invitan a pensar en un ejemplo de sostenibilidad y responsabilidad. Es el caso de La Chanta, una antigua cantera de caliza que se ha convertido en reclamo tur\u00edstico gracias a la labor de restauraci\u00f3n realizada por Holcim Espa\u00f1a de la mano de la asociaci\u00f3n conservacionista BRINZAL.<\/p><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><p>La Chanta, ubicada en el t\u00e9rmino municipal de Corpa (Madrid) y que cuenta con el apoyo del Grupo de Acci\u00f3n Local ARACOVE, alberga un Centro de Naturaleza orientado a usos cient\u00edficos, educativos y tur\u00edsticos. Visto as\u00ed, ya no parece tan peculiar la presencia de una compa\u00f1\u00eda de materiales para la construcci\u00f3n en FITUR. Una alternativa m\u00e1s para el disfrute de la naturaleza con la garant\u00eda de un impacto para el entorno controlado.<\/p><\/div><div>\u00a0<\/div><div><p>Este 2024 ser\u00e1 un a\u00f1o de crecimiento para el turismo y qui\u00e9n sabe, tal vez el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o volvamos a hablar de r\u00e9cords.
